We do not use tracking cookies or third-party cookies, and we do not sell or share the data we collect with third parties.

Who we are

Danielluxe is a personal website and blog operated by Danielle.

Providing information is voluntary

You are not legally required to give us any personal information. Everything described below is collected only with your consent, for the purposes stated here. If you choose not to provide it, you can still browse the whole site; you simply will not receive the newsletter.

What we collect, and why

We collect information in three places:

  • Newsletter signup. When you subscribe, we store your email address and the language of the page you subscribed from. We use them only to send you the Danielluxe newsletter in that language. The signup form is your opt-in, and every email we send carries an unsubscribe link.
  • Visitor statistics. We run Umami, an open-source analytics tool, on a server we operate ourselves. It records the pages you visit, the site you arrived from, your browser, operating system and device type, and a handful of anonymous interactions such as which link you clicked. There are no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no third-party cookies and no profile of you.
  • Hosting logs. The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any hosting provider, Vercel may keep short-lived technical logs of requests, including IP addresses, for security and operations.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies for visitors, which is why you see no cookie banner.

We do not use third-party cookies.

Who we share information with

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for marketing.

We believe in privacy and act on it.

Two service providers process information on our behalf:

  • Kit (Kit.com, United States) stores newsletter email addresses and sends the newsletter. Because Kit is outside Israel, subscribing means your email address is transferred to the United States. Your consent at signup is the basis for that transfer.
  • Vercel (Vercel Inc., United States) hosts the website and keeps the technical logs described above.

How long we keep information

Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, after which they are removed from Kit.

Visitor statistics are kept as aggregate numbers that do not identify anyone. Hosting logs are kept by Vercel for a short period, at most 30 days, and then deleted.

How we protect information

The site is served over HTTPS. Access to the newsletter list and the analytics server is limited to the people who run Danielluxe and protected by strong, individually held credentials that are stored securely. Secrets such as service keys are never stored in the website’s code, and software is kept up to date with security fixes.

Your rights

Under the Israeli Privacy Protection Law you have the right to inspect the information we hold about you (section 13) and to ask us to correct or delete it (section 14). You can also unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us in the way described at the end of this page. We will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we update the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects newsletter subscribers, we will also mention it in the newsletter.
